Ingram Book GroupPirates of the Caribbean now available to booksellers through "one-stop" access
Ingram Book Group's OneSources offers access and ordering of Ingram Entertainment Inc.'s stock of DVD and video titles
LA VERGNE, TN - Ingram Book Group, a leading wholesaler of trade books and related products, and Ingram Entertainment Inc., a leading distributor of home entertainment products, today announced an agreement that will extend their wholesale distribution of DVD and video titles to Ingram Book retail and Christian bookstore customers.
Already supplying Ingram Book Group's library division with DVD and video product, Ingram Entertainment now joins on as a OneSource partner to offer its titles to an even broader range of customers.
"Adding Ingram Entertainment Inc. as a OneSource partner gives our customers convenient access to a popular product line with accelerating sales and an ever-growing title base," said Jim Chandler, Chief Commercial Officer of Ingram Book Group. "The expanded product offering provides retailers increased opportunities for impulse purchases and collector sales. Savvy retailers who, for example, have learned to sell Harry Potter non-book merchandise alongside the novel can also gain additional revenues by selling the movie as well."
Now all domestic retail customers participating in the OneSource program will be able to search and order DVD and video product through all Ingram Book Group ordering methods, including ipage-the industry-leading e-business Web site for booksellers and publishers. The new OneSource offering includes the top titles from all the major studios as well as hard-to-find titles in genres such as foreign films, Japanese animation, fitness, and health.
For example, some of the DVD and video titles that are now available through OneSource include: 2 Fast 2 Furious, About a Boy, Back to the Future Trilogy, Beautiful Mind, Bourne Identity, E.T., Erin Brockovich, and Pirates of the Caribbean.
"Ingram Entertainment is pleased that its line of DVDs and video products will be conveniently available to Ingram Book Group library and bookstore customers," said David B. Ingram, Chairman and President of Ingram Entertainment Inc.
